I am a recent Master's graduate who is passionate about analysing and discussing anything to do with modern society. Particularly, I think that it is extremely important to talk about polarising and more controversial topics, in order to learn to respect everyone's point of view on things. Avoiding certain topics for the sake of being uncontroversial is a way to underestimate people's intellectual capabilities, and at the same time it makes the audience less accustumed to a diversity of opinions. I also believe that journalism plays a crucial role in developing the overall awareness of people, which is more important than ever in a society that becomes increasingly individualistic. Picturing oneself in the context of humanity means being aware that everyone's actions - even your everyday life - have an impact on everyone else; it's up to us to make this notion either a gift or a curse.
