I started writing only to share my stories and put my feelings into words.
Since I was studying from so many reputable writers, I have always had a strong urge to share my life story with others. I feel like when I write about how I'm feeling, or when I share my thoughts and lessons learned, I've given someone else the tools they need to grow from my failures and accomplishments and live better lives, wherever they may be.
Throughout my last year in the Bachelors program. I had an unhealthy Low self esteem, but I was also really happy to be able to tell my tale and contribute to the big internet realm at least.
I felt I would be able to grow my mind and open multiple horizons by writing on different topics be it politics, war, freedom, slice of life, poverty or royalty, short stories or long stories, everything has their own dimension in which we can create most impactful stories.
I have been brought up hearing war stories, my grandparents were in the midst of war, they had the most horrific and most beautiful stories of humanity, how human beings can be so inhuman and on the other side they can be so humane, it makes you wonder who and which sides should we blame in the middle of the war. I have always learnt from them how war is a worse thing to mankind, it spares no one. We all like a peaceful world but are not ready to contribute towards it.
One of the most relevant, beautiful and at the same time saddest quote by Mahmoud Darwish -
The war will end.
The leaders will shake hands.
The old woman will keep waiting for her martyred son.
That girl will wait for her beloved husband.
And those children will wait for their heroic father.
I don't know who sold our homeland.
But I saw who paid the price.
