In a diverse world of sports, athletes strive to compete resolutely to make their mark worldwide for many fans who admire them. One of the greatest in American culture who made golf famous began with the athlete Tiger Woods. The sport of golf used to display a dull view and motive for people of our generation, millennials, and Gen Z individuals. The golf aficionado has become a popular topic after winning a championship in the U.S. Golf open tournament in 2019. The outcome of building his brand is successfully capturing the attention of his fans and younger golf athletes in the country. After his last championship, before the pandemic, he created a mini golf franchise that will be adult and kid-friendly for all ages to enjoy. When he started his franchise that is when he became inspired to partner with the biggest mini golf brand “PopStroke” in Jupiter, Florida.
After an expansion release, they have opened a new “PopStroke” location in the great state of Texas their first being in Houston. Tiger Woods franchise began this idea of creating the TGR design partnership with founder and entrepreneur Greg Bartoli. The motive “Tiger Woods Ventures” is to create a golf course that lets you enjoy an exciting mini-golf experience including for fans in the Katy area of Houston. Many are thrilled about the sport of golf, and “Popstroke” resembles a motive for Houstonians and Texans to visit and enjoy a fun time with their families and kids. Their new Houston location consists of 3.2 acres, an 18-hole putt course ample enough for large crowds and families to come to dine and play. Including a playground and activity area where parents can entertain themselves at ease while having a wonderful time with friends.
Who does not like enjoying a good time with friends?
For newcomers, the epicenter of golf entertainment provides a good life experience for larger crowds and corporate businesses around the country. Their entertainment services allow clients and their members to host their own private parties like birthdays, anniversaries, holiday celebrations, school gatherings, or corporate fundraising events. Giving customers options to choose a range of guests and hosting a party or event at any of their locations. This creates a great opportunity for parents to bring and entertain their kids during the holidays.
In a brief interview, Tammy Hutchinson, a marketing coordinator at Popstroke, shared some incentives of how it launched, and the motive. “We do believe that it's family-friendly and that it’s a good time for everyone to get together, enjoy the open air and there’s something for everyone here. If some don’t want to play, they can enjoy a drink on the couch in our beer garden while they watch a game.” Many kids can enjoy the entertainment of mini golf, the ice cream parlor, and the playground area. There is no age limit or entrance fee to enter, people of all ages and the elderly are welcome to visit. The course will also be open to the public during the Christmas holidays now that kids are off for winter vacation. Although Houston is a big city with strange cold weather, every location includes heated air and heaters so customers and staff can keep warm during the winter season. “It’s a learning process for sure,” Hutchinson said. Since their first location in Texas was a success, they plan to open a second location currently in the works.
As a successful partnership, they have not partnered with any Houston-related organizations but still host private fundraising events like their “first tee” VIP event in Houston. Ms. Hutchinson says, “We haven’t partnered with anyone just as of yet, but we do have a philanthropic side to the business which is called ‘Popstroke Cares.’ Especially during the month of October, a lot of our proceeds go to breast care awareness. So, we’re hoping to make relationships with Memorial Hospital across the way and M.D. Andersen in Houston as well.” They still continue to create partnerships and with TaylorMade Golf who sponsors PopStroke Tour Championship events every year.
At Popstroke, it is a fun way to come and enjoy watching a game and tailgate with friends and family. Visitors can watch football on Sundays on the rooftop bar on any of their flat-screen TVs and track score plays on a “Jumbotron” screen above the course. Their location is open to everyone and tourists around the country. They encourage residents in Houston to visit and see what “Popstroke” is all about and “just come and have some fun.” You can visit and enjoy mini golf plays and are open 7 days of the week and open til midnight from Thursday through Saturday. After their Houston opening, they plan to expand and open other locations like Arizona, Tampa, Delray Beach, Florida, and many more.
You can become a member and dine at any location through the Popstroke app available on iPhone or android.
