If you are not a fan of Korean dramas, which are also known as K-Pop, then there is something you are missing. K-Pop has grown in popularity around the world, bringing it into the spotlight and having a cultural impact on everyone. K-dramas are addicting and, with dozens of new and innovative stories, they will always keep you entertained. They are often known for their amazing storylines and plot twists, which are sometimes intense. Korean dramas can often be very silly and heartbreaking. However, these dramas are the ones that will always keep one hooked, make one keep coming back to it.

 

1. Sunbae, Don’t Put On That Lipstick

 Sunbae, Don’t Put On That Lipstick is a series that is based on Webtoons under the same name. This Korean drama chronicles a typical office romance between a cosmetic brand marketer who has always dreamt of launching her cosmetic brand and a young woman who has recently joined her workplace.

 

 

2. Snowdrop

Snowdrop cast Jung Hae In and Blackpink's Jisoo in their leadership roles. It is one of the most awaited K-dramas that is set in 1987 in Seoul. The storyline of the show revolves around a student who discovers himself covered in blood at a girl’s hostel and, later, is treated by a student who rescues him. 

 

3. All Of Us Are Dead

 All Of Us Dead is a Netflix South Korean drama television series that is based on a Webtoon known as "Now at our School". The show stars Yoon Chan-young, Park Ji-hoo, Yoo In-soo, Cho Yi-Hyun, and Park Solomon. The storyline of the show is set right in the middle of a zombie apocalypse where students realize that they have been trapped in their high school building.

The Silent Sea is a mystery thriller based on a science fiction novel. Bae Doona, Lee Joon, and Goong Yoo star in the K-drama. The show is based on the short film The Sea of Tranquility, which was released in 2014. It talks about the space journey of a group of soldiers who work for an agency and travel to the moon to save Earth.

We can see in the show that the screenwriter and a rom-com actor discover themselves staying together and the former one, who never wants to date but always finds herself in the wrong relationships. Love Alarm 2 is one of the famous K-drama shows which released its season 2 on 12th March 2021 on Netflix. The show casts Kim So Hyun, Song Kang, and Jung Ga Ram. Love Alarm 2 is all about technology that enables users to find love through an application that notifies them if someone within a distance of a 10-meter radius has romantic feelings for them. 

 

 

8. Like A Butterfly/Navillera

 Like A Butterfly/Navillera is a Korean drama which is based on a webcomic called "Navillera". The show tells the story of a ballet dancer and an old man who become friends through a form of art. The show features Song Kang as the main lead and Park In Hwan and Na Moon Hee as supporting characters.

Marriage Lyrics And Divorce Music/Marriage Story is a South Korean drama that tells the stories of three women in their 30s, 40s, and 50s who have been struggling with various life issues while dealing with their broken marriages and attempting to comprehend the concept of true love. The show casts Sung Hoon, Lee Tae-gon, and Park Joo-mi. 

 

 

10. Hospital Playlist 2

 Hospital Playlist 2 is one of the highest-ranked shows in the history of Korean Drama. It is currently streaming on Netflix. The series features Jo Jung-suk, Yoo Yeon-Seok, Jeon Mi-do, Jung Kyung-ho, and Kim Dae-Myung. The storyline of the show revolves around doctors and nurses who work at Yulje Medical Center. It focuses on friends who entered medical school in 1999 and are now successful doctors. 

 

 

11. Vincenzo

 The movie is based on a dark comedy-drama. It stars Song Joong Ki in the lead, opposite Kwak Dong Yeon and Jeon Yeo Been, and the rapper Ok Taec Yun, who narrates the life of a mafia preceptor who comes from Italy to South Korea. The show was great. It was released on TVN on 20th February 2021 and, later every episode was released on Netflix.

 

 

12. River Where The Moon Rises

 The novel "Princess Pyeonggang" from 2010 inspired The River Where The Moon Rises. This historic Korean drama features Kim So Hyun, Ji Soo, Lee Ji Hoon, and Choi Yu Hwa in lead roles, and the storyline of the series is about the story of a young princess who claims to have power. 

 

 

13. The Devil Judge 

The Devil Judge is a mystery Korean drama that casts Ji Sung, Park Jin Young, and Park Gyu Young. This court drama is about one judge who turns the court case into a reality TV show. However, the show gained a lot of viewers when GOT7’s Jinyoung took over the major role, opposite Ji Sung and Park Gyu Young. 

 

 

14. Penthouse 2

Penthouse 2 is a Korean drama. It premiered on SBS TV. The show revolves around real estate and the education war. The show stars Um Ki-Joon, Yoon Jong-hoon, Park Eun-Seok, Lee Ji-ah, Kim So-Yeon, and Eugene. The second season of this wonderful show is set in a fancy Penthouse apartment that has 100 floors. 

 

 

15. Mount Jiri/Cliff hanger 

Mount Jiri is yet another mystery South Korean web television series. The series revolves around Mount Jiri, where visitors come to murder or kill themselves and get saved by the two park rangers and employees of the Jirisin National Park in mysterious ways. The show features Ju Ji-hoon, Sung Dong-il, Oh Jung-Se, and Jun Ji-Hyun.
