Lalisa Manobal, born in Buriram province of Thailand, is strongly enthusiastic and popularly recognized by the mononym, 'Lisa'. Lalisa could be a Thai rapper, singer, and South Korean best dancer too. She is a member of Blackpink, which is a South Korean girl group, under YG Entertainment. Her name was Pranpriya Manobal which she later legally changed to Lalisa, meaning ‘praised’.
At the age of 4, she started dancing. She competed regularly in dance contests throughout her childhood, which incorporates ''To Be Number One." She joined the eleven-member dance crew We Zaa Cool together with BamBam of Got7.
In 2010, to enroll in the South Korean record label YG Entertainment, she gave an audition that was certified in Thailand. At a young age, Lisa gained interest in the k-pop industry. Among 4,000 applicants, she was the only individual to entitle and inscribe a mark on the minds of every single judge over there. After which, CEO Yang Hyun-Suk offered her an opportunity to become a trainee of YG Entertainment. In 2011, she shifted to the Republic of Korea to initiate her formal training as a trainee. The training lingered for about five years.
In August 2016, Lisa debuted with 4 members of the South Korean girl group ‘Blackpink’. Blackpink debuted with the single album State of affairs with the lead single “Whistle” and “Boombayah”.
From September 21, 2018, she was capable enough to become the permanent member of the “Real Man 300” show as a component of the Korea Army Academy which was cast by the MBC military variety program. On November 5, 2018, she divulged her YouTube channel, “Lilifilm Official” (presently having 8.34M subscribers). The channel focused on traveling & lifestyles along with dance performances. In March 2020, she assisted the IQYL’s Chinese girl group survival program “Youth with You Season2 '' as a dance mentor. Again, in February 2021, she served in the Chinese boy group survival show “Youth with You Season3'' as the dance mentor.
Lisa, a new member of the k-pop girl group, made her first solo debut with her solo album “Lalisa” which was released on September 10, 2021. Lalisa’s title track was written and composed by Teddy and Bekuh. At the Conference Lisa spoke about her album named “I hope that people will hear the song and think, wow this is it. This is something only Lisa can do.” The pre-order of the “Lalisa” album racked up over 700,000 sales in barely the first four days.
