On the 70th anniversary of her late husband, the esteemed actor Rishi Kapoor, last year, Neetu Kapoor posted an endearing throwback picture on her Instagram profile. The photograph appeared to be taken at a celebration, with Rishi Kapoor sporting oversized, stylish sunglasses, and Neetu Kapoor donning a colorful boa scarf.


Alongside the image, the veteran actress wrote, "Happy birthday," accompanied by a heart emoticon. Following her post, many of her colleagues from the film industry flooded the comment section with heart emoticons. Soni Razdan, Alia Bhatt's mother, and Anaita Shroff Adajania were among those who left their expressions of love.


In the previous year, Alia Bhatt took to Instagram to commemorate the anniversary of Rishi Kapoor's passing by sharing a precious throwback photograph. The seasoned actor had succumbed to cancer in 2020 after a lengthy struggle. The picture showcased Alia, her spouse, the actor Ranbir Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, and the late "Rishi Ji," all wearing beaming smiles as they posed for the camera. Alia Bhatt accompanied the image with a caption that conveyed, "Eternal... And, everlasting."

On the occasion of the veteran actor’s 71st birthday, his co-star from Agneepath, Sanjay Dutt also shared a touching tribute. In his post, Sanjay Dutt posted a picture featuring himself alongside Rishi Kapoor and Rishi's son, Ranbir Kapoor. In the heartfelt caption, Sanjay Dutt expressed his deep admiration for Rishi Kapoor, describing him as more than just family.


He praised Rishi for being a remarkable actor and an exceptional human being. Sanjay fondly recalled Rishi's infectious laughter, captivating stories, and genuine nature that brought them all together. He acknowledged the emptiness left by Rishi's passing but emphasized that the warmth of his memory continues to keep him alive in their hearts. Sanjay Dutt concluded by expressing how much he misses Rishi Kapoor.


Rishi Kapoor's co-star from Aap Ke Deewane, Rakesh Roshan, paid tribute to the actor and his dear friend on this significant occasion. Sharing a cherished throwback moment, he expressed, "Chintu, I miss you, my friend. It's September 4th, let's celebrate!"


 


Rishi Kapoor was diagnosed with leukemia, a form of blood cancer, and valiantly fought the disease for two years. Sadly, he succumbed to it on April 30, 2020, at the age of 67. During his battle with cancer, he had also undergone treatment in New York before returning to India.
