the highest-rated series in the UK is finally back as the 8 weeks of Love Island are officially underway. With 2 episodes down we already have drama, a bombshell, “icks”, new couples, and a recoupling that left an islander single. Here’s everything you’ve missed (Spoilers Ahead).
The Series started with a new twist, as for the first time ever the boys and girls both entered the Mallorcan villa at the same time. The first five islanders to enter were Ella Thomas, Jess Harding, Andre Furtado, Mitchel Taylor, and Ruchee Gurung. They were later joined by the remaining five islanders upon Maya Jama’s arrival. Those Islanders were Catherine Agbaje, Tyrique Hyde, Molly Marsh, Medhi Edno, and George Fensom.
With Maya Jama returning to Hosting duties, after she made her debut on the winter edition a few months earlier, things were ready to kick off. Jama revealed that the public has been voting on whom to pair up with the islanders. With that we had our first couples of the season: Mehdi & Ruchee, Molly & Mitchel, Tyrique & Ella, Jess & George, and finally Catherine & Andre.
That wasn’t all as the First Episode concluded with the arrival of Bombshell Zachariah Noble. Zachriah’s Arrival was only the start of the drama as Episode 2 was eventful, to say the least. The episode kicks off with a game of “Guess Who”, where islanders read something another islander of the opposite sex has done and they’d have to guess who by kissing them. Here it was revealed that Mitchel has dated 3 girls simultaneously and that Tyrique has a body count over 100. That left their partners with questions.
Those couples weren't the only ones facing problems as both Ruchee and Jess friend-zoned their counterparts and Andre was left single as Bombshell Zachariah chose Catherine to couple up with to conclude episode 2.

22-year-old Catherine Agbaje is born in Dublin, Ireland and she is a real estate agent. Catherine has been Single her whole life, however, that might change soon as in the Villa she has been a hot commodity as 3 islanders have shown interest in her and it’s only day 2.
England’s own Ruchee Gurung is a 24-year-old Beautician. Ruchee’s icks are guys with no ambition and red shoes.
Mehdi Edno is a communications manager from France. The 26-year-old is ready to find love after being single for 2 years, however, it's been a rocky start for him in the villa.
Gas Engineer Mitchel Taylor is a 26-year-old from Sheffield. Mitchel is ready to settle down and start a family. 2 episodes in it seems like he already found that partner in Molly.
Molly Marsh, Daughter of Actress Janet Marsh, is the latest “Nepo Baby” to join the villa. Molly is a 21-year-old content creator and thanks to her line of work she has already been in the villa through a press trip last winter season for a Tiktok.
The first Bombshell of the season Zachariah Noble is a Basketball player from London. The 25-year-old says he is very straightforward and that shows as he wasn’t afraid to step on Andre’s toes to get to Catherine.
André Furtado is a 21-year-old business owner from England. André joined the island because he is ready to be in a relationship, however, he is the only Islander not paired with anyone currently.
Model Ella Thomas is 23 years old and is born and raised in Scotland. Ella’s ex took her to Paris for her birthday, so the boys who have their eyes on her, need to step up their game.
22-year-old Jess Harding is an Aesthetics Practitioner from London. Jess claims she’s single because she easily gets the Ick.
Semi-Professional Footballer Tyrique Hyde is from England. The 24-year-old revealed in the first episode that he’s deaf in one ear.
Lastly, England’s George Fensom is a business development executive. The 24-year-old says he falls in love quickly and has proposed after only two dates.
