Long-term anxiety and panic attacks cause our brain to release stress hormones regularly. Symptoms of anxiety disorders are headaches, dizziness, and depression.

  • Generalized disturbance (GAD)

  • Panic disorder.

  • Phobias. 

  • Separation anxiety. 


Women have a well higher risk of developing anxiety disorders as compared to men. Depression often coexists with eating disorders such as anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and others, especially among women.

  • Symptoms of bipolar mood disorder include feeling irritated, experiencing reduced sleep, having low self-esteem, and being easily distracted.

  • Females are more likely to experience depression than males because depressive symptoms tend to be dominant and most of the time females with this disorder receive the wrong diagnosis of depression.

  • According to research social factors are more responsible to develop this disorder among women like stigma, loss of control, changes to relationships, and pressure of being normal.

  • Economic factors also influence the experience of this disorder for example women who are financially independent, have a safe place to live in, and have good family backgrounds can manage better.

  • Through medication, counselling, psychotherapy, and other treatments like ECT (Electroconvulsive treatment ) can resolve the problem.
