Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla indicated that those vaccinated with Pfizer/BioNTech should receive a fourth dose of it to ensure maximum protection against the coronavirus.
Likewise, he made clear his work in conjunction with the FDA by saying:
“We are going to move all this data to the FDA (the United States Food and Drug Administration), and then we will see what the experts outside our company say”.
On the other hand, each country has regulations -beyond those established at the global level- to generate protection for its inhabitants, as is the case of the European Medicines Agency, which allows third doses to all the people over 18 years of age those have received both the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines within at least six months.
However, different health organizations have established the need to wait to prove the efficacy of vaccines against COVID-19 over time and how it develops within the human body and before the Omicron, a popular variant at this time of the year.
Therefore, reinforcements continue to combat the virus and gradually return to normality, which will no longer be like before.
