Donald Trump's Arrest on Felony Counts

  • Donald Trump got arrested on Tuesday on 34 felony counts, becoming the first U.S. former president to be vindicated. A few days ago, Trump announced in a statement that he would be arrested soon and called for nationwide protests. His concerns about his arrest are materialized into reality today.

At Manhattan Criminal Court, before 1 p.m., trump surrendered to authorities of court and was arrested on a count of various felonies in the hush money case. Ex-U.S. president confessed not being guilty of falsifying records in hush money payments at the end of the 2016 presidential campaign.

Trump's lawyers edged him into a blind corner when the prosecution laid out their case against him. Judge Juan Merchan unsealed the indictment during the procession. However, even under the edge of prosecutors and the judge, Donald Trump answered, “Not guilty.”

Furthermore, he denied having an affair with porn star Stormy Daniels and embezzling $7 million for the presidential campaign in 2024. Even before the trial, Trump’s lawyers remarked, they would beat the lawsuit before its initiation.

The case is focused on the illegal transfer of payments to porn star Stormy Daniel via Trump’s former attorney and fixer, Michael Cohen. Prosecutors asserted that the records on Trump’s Corporation ledgers and check stubs are fraudulent.

Cohen got vindicated for violating federal campaign finance laws amounting to illegal payments of $420,000. Meanwhile, he pleaded guilty to his actions and declined to file charges against Trump.

The prosecutors also pointed to similar instances when publisher David Pecker, a friend of Trump, tried to suppress controversial Playmate Model Karen McDougal and Trump’s erstwhile doorman.

Meanwhile, prosecutors left no moves unplayed. They asked Judge Merchan to address the social media posts of Trump about his looming arrest, which created chaos. Merchan advised the alleged witness to refrain from making unnecessary comments publicly about the case.

Judge ordered Trump to be ransomed on bail. On release, the former president was taken away by the Secret Service.

Trump's arrest made the media the hive of activity with the buzzing curiosity of Americans and people around the world to Donald Trump’s arrest. In Manhattan, media and Trump’s supporters were jamming around the court.

After returning to Mar a Lago estate, Trump fumed over prosecutors in his 27-minute-long speech to his supporters. Donald Trump said he had never imagined something of this enormity could happen in America and shared his plans for the presidential elections in 2024.
