Social media went wild after Joe Biden collapsed on live tv during the U.S Air Force Academy graduation leading thousands of Americans to reconsider their votes in 2024
Biden: The Only Hope Against Trump?
Before 2020, the U.S. had known four years of presidency led by the Republican president Donald J. Trump, one who Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton qualified as a “dangerous demagogue who will put our country's security and well-being at risk.". During those four years, U.S. Trump was criticized by medical specialists for not responding correctly to the COVID-19 pandemic, leading to the death of thousands of people. His stance on topics such as global environmental challenges and immigration was very controversial. One of his most contentious quotes regards Mexican immigrants
"When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending their best. (...)They're sending people that have lots of problems, and they're bringing those problems with us. They're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists. And some, I assume, are good people."
Thus, Biden was, for many, the only hope for the country. Two years ago, Joseph Stiglitz, Nobel laureate in economics, stated in an interview with CNBC in March 2021: that; "President Biden's agenda... is what the economy needs right now, a focus on inequality, a focus on providing resources to those who have been left behind."
However, his age and health seem to limit his ambitions. At least, this is what we can see from American folks.
Joe Biden’s Age: A Limit To His Ambitions?
Social media went wild this past few days after the president fell on live television. With several users claiming the president was not fit for another election.
“Joe Biden is too old to be running anything,” declared the CFP on Twitter (Citizen Free Press) as the 80-year-old U.S. president fell during U.S Air Force Academy graduation.
This situation was already addressed a few years ago by the president's political enemies. Yet, he has always reassured his citizens, "About age, I can't even say, I guess how old I am, I can't even say the number. It doesn't register with me," he declared.
