In Mumbai, the number of COVID-19 positive cases has decreased.

In Maharashtra, 68 deaths were reported from COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, dropping from 81 the day before. The number of people in Mumbai decreased from 7 on February 4, 2022, Friday to 4 on February 4, 2022, Saturday.
After over 800 new cases were detected for two straight days, the frequency of COVID-19 infections in Mumbai fell to 643 on Saturday. In comparison to Thursday, when 36,082 tests were performed by the testing centres, the number of tests controlled in the city in the past 24 hours was 43,925. New deaths due to COVID have totally decreased in both Maharashtra and its capital city, Mumbai, in the last 24 hours.

The number of total positive rates also fell to 1.4% from 2.29%, which was the confirmed percentage last Thursday.
There seem to be 6,367 active COVID positive cases all over Mumbai. 1,558 of the 23,429 beds allocated for COVID-positive patients are vacant. On Saturday, 92 of the 643 confirmed cases underwent hospitalisation. Of those, 18 required respiratory assistance beds. As of Saturday, there were just three covered and sealed complexes in the city.

With the rapid drop, the number of active cases in the state fell from 2,443,344 on January 29, 2022 to 1,33,655 on February 5, 2022. Last Saturday, there were 11,394 confirmed COVID-19 cases recorded across the state of Maharashtra, including 68 deaths. The Maharashtra state had registered 13,840 new cases that day on February 4, 2022. According to the latest data released by government officials, the state's overall COVID-19 positive patient count has reached about 77,940,34.

Meanwhile, in Mumbai, four citizens lost their lives due to the COVID-19 virus, as opposed to seven on Friday. Furthermore, according to statistics given by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, 553 of Mumbai's 643 new cases are asymptomatic, accounting for 86 percent (BMC).
During a once-a-week Covid-19 press conference held on Thursday, the Centre stated that the majority of the union territories had a lower tendency in their daily patient infection.

According to Lav Agarwal, joint secretary of the Union Health Ministry, we have 50,000 active cases. However, apart from Kerala, seven of these states have regularly shown a week-on-week decrease in COVID-19 occurrences.

As per the official reports given by the government, it is stated that there were no new positive cases of the Omicron variant or delta variant of COVID-19 on Saturday. The state has reported zero cases of the new Omicron variant of this deadly virus. The Omicron tally for Maharashtra currently stands at 3,334. Let's stay safe.
