In the podcast "On Purpose with Jay Shetty," the ex-wife of Kanye West broke her silence about her ex-husband's statements from the past year, holding him responsible for the consequences of his actions on their children.
During her appearance on the podcast "On Purpose with Jay Shetty," businesswoman and TV reality star Kim Kardashian stated that Kanye West's actions would have a more detrimental impact on their children than her sex tape.
The Sextape VS Kanye’s Controversies
For years, Kim Kardashian has been repeatedly asked the same question: "What would your children think when they find out how you became famous?" However, Kim reframed the question during her appearance on the podcast "On Purpose with Jay Shetty." She stated, "All of his shenanigans will be far more damaging to the kids one day than my sex tape will ever be."
Many Twitter users expressed their thoughts on the matter. One user commented, "She is right. I don't like Kim Kardashian at all, but she and her children don't deserve what is happening to them." However, others believe that Kim is attempting to shift the situation. A Twitter user remarked, "She just wants to reassure herself."
The Divorce
In an interview with Vogue released in March 2022, the Skims creator declared to the Fashion magazine that; "For so long, I did what made other people happy.”
She added, "In the last two years, I decided I will make myself happy. And that feels good.” This decision took place the same month.
The Controversies Around Kanye
This decision occurred right after the rapper allegedly lost two billion dollars due to his sudden contract termination by Adidas and Balenciaga after making anti-Semitic remarks. The 45-year-old artist had posted a tweet at the end of 2022 that many interpreted as antisemitic.
This media blunder is not the first for the artist, who has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Since 2004, Kim Kardashian's ex-husband has been involved in several scandals. In 2018, he made controversial remarks suggesting that African Americans had a choice in enduring 400 years of slavery. After almost twenty years of scandals, Kanye West's image has never been more tarnished. In recent months, he has faced intense criticism from prominent figures in the United States. He seems to be under attack from what historian Laure Murat has called the "culture of protest."
