Pippa and Ron Seichrist founded the M.AD school of ideas in 1993. Seeing students leaving expensive schools with undervalued degrees, they switched it up.
Together, they developed a learning model combining creative inspiration with real-world experience (Miami Ad School). Their small experiment had spread to 16 cities in no time, and their graduates were making waves across the globe. MAD School of Ideas, a three-time Cannes Lions Future School.
The number of awards students of M.AD won is higher than any other creative school (and they also have more fun while doing it). In addition, the number of graduates continues to grow. The world changes around us, but the students are ready to handle whatever comes their way.
Advertising school has announced a scholarship dedicated to the late Anant Rangaswami, former Editor of CNBC TV-78, long-time advertising veteran, and former Board Member of M.AD School of Ideas.
The platform said two students would be chosen for a 100 PC scholarship for a 2-year course, including a one-year internship in four countries. The fellowship will go to 1 student in Bangalore and one in Mumbai.
Anant Rangaswami, 57, was the editor of CNBC TV18's Storyboard and was editor-in-chief of Firstpost.com. In addition, Rangaswami was vice president of TBWA India and founding editor of Campaign India. Rangaswami was also the publisher of Melt, a magazine and portal focused on advertising and marketing.
Raj Kemble, Director, M.AD School of Ideas, India, said, "Mr.Rangaswami was one of the most passionate people in advertising, someone who truly believed in our industry and our talent and worked hard till his last day. He has been a mentor for all of us at the Mad School of Ideas and me personally, always giving helpful guidance, ideas, and time.The best way to honor one's memory is to develop new talents. So we hope these young people will be as enraged, impatient, stubborn, and dedicated as he is."
