NEW DELHI: On Wednesday, April 27, 2022, the Prime Minister met virtually with the Chief Ministers of all the states and leaders of the UTs to discuss the Covid-19 situation in the country. According to Union Ministry Of health data issued on Wednesday morning, the country reported 2,927 new infections in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases to 4,30,65,496 and the active caseload to 16,279, bringing the total number of diseases to 4,30,65,496. According to information updated at 8 a.m., the price has risen to $5,23,654 with 32 more fatalities.

The prime minister held that meeting to urge states to reduce VAT on fuel prices to ease the burden on the ordinary person. Mr. Narendra Modi requested a form to reduce the value-added tax on fuel in the spirit of cooperative federalism. Moreover, listing fuel prices across the cities in the country, he brought to light that states which had lowered VAT have lower fuel prices, stressing the spirit of cooperative federalism.
