Mohammed Al Gergawi Reveals The Details of The 2024 World Government Summit

Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Chairman of the World Government Summit Foundation, Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi, revealed on January 23rd 2024, details of the World Government Summit 2024 under the slogan "Shaping the Governments of the Future" during the period of February 12-14, which will be held under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and under the directives of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and ruler of Dubai.

During the World Government Summit Dialogue, held at the Museum of the Future today, Al Gergawi confirmed  that the summit brings together global thought leaders, experts, and decision-makers from all over the world to participate and contribute to the development of the tools, policies, and models that are considered essential in shaping future governments.

Al Gergawi said that the summit will host more than 4,000 participants, within more than 110 interactive dialogue sessions and 15 forums, where it will be held with high international representation with the participation of more than 80 international organisations, pointing out that the World Government Summit will witness the largest participation of international organisations since its launch.

Al Gergawi added, "The World Government Summit has brought together more than 50 heads of state and government, 2,500 ministers, and more than 1,600 programs and dialogue sessions during the past 10 years since its launch."

For his part, the Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Roads and Transport Authority, Mattar Al Tayer, said that Dubai is the first city outside the United States to operate autonomous taxis.

He added, "During the World Government Summit, attendees will get a firsthand look at the latest advancements in our flying taxi project."

Dawood Al Hajri, Director of the Dubai Municipality, explained that Dubai has become a model for many countries around the world. "We are working to present the integrated smart city model during the summit."

For his part, Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development, said, “The UAE has many capabilities that make it reach global markets.”Masoud Mahmoud, CEO of Etisalat "We aim to share our experiences in transforming the telecommunications sector from traditional models to global technologies."
