
A girl is always compared to a Female goddess in India because of the strong characteristic which she possesses in her soul. In past as well as in present, daughters of our country enlightened in every field. Many of them also made history like Rani Laxmibai, Arundhati Roy, Chand Bibi, Kalpana Chawla, Indira Gandhi, Priyanka Chopra etc. There is no end to the list of achievements made by the daughters of our country. So that's why every girl in our country should be appreciated on this day.
This day is not confined to appreciation but also to supporting and promoting girls education, their health care, legal rights, reducing child marriage etc. It was initiated in 2008 by the Ministry of Women and Child Development Minister Renuka Chowdhury and the government of India, to spread public awareness about inequities that girls face in Indian society.
On social media many celebrities, ministers and even the public of our country gave warm wishes to the daughters of our country. Here are some tweets-

Even the public has also shared pictures of their daughter on Whatsapp, Facebook, Instagram by wishing "BALIKA DIWAS".
This reflects the love and support of people towards thedaughters of our country.
