Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut lashed out at the Centre on Friday, claiming a conspiracy between the Central authorities and the Bharatiya Janata Party to damage the Maharashtra government.
This allegation by Sanjay Raut comes just days after former Maharashtra Chief Minister and Leader of the Opposition, Devendra Fadnavis, claimed that the Maharashtra state government's special public prosecutor was preparing a conspiracy against BJP leaders in the state. Fadnavis also handed over a pen drive with a video clip to the Assembly Speaker and asked that the case be investigated by the Crime Branch of India.
Sanjay Raut told the media today about the situation: "What exactly is this pen drive? Every day, a new pen drive arises. Is it produced in a factory? There is a link between central government agencies and the BJP. The same thing is happening in West Bengal, and it will soon happen in Tamil Nadu too. "
"In Maharashtra, the National Investigation Agency and the opposition are collaborating to destroy the Maharashtra government. In 'fake' charges, the central investigation agency tries to undermine the Maharashtra government.
In random situations, the charge sheet is immediately prepared. We have no idea what the case against us is about, "he stated.
He said that in Maharashtra, there had never been such terrible, low-level, and poor politics.
Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut slammed the Centre on Wednesday for raids and investigations by central investigative agencies into alleged money laundering cases against persons connected to the governing party in Maharashtra, saying that "missiles are being launched, but we are safe for the time being."
These changes come as elections for the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation are set to take place this year.
