The guessing game is finally over. It’s official, Milly Bobby Brown is engaged to her long-time American boyfriend, Jake Bongiovi, a fellow actor, and son of world-renowned singer/songwriter Jon Bon Jovi. The ‘Stranger Things’ star took to Instagram to confirm the news in a heartfelt post stating, “I've loved you three summers now, honey, I want 'em all 🤍” Of course, our eyes immediately fell on the gorgeous diamond ring on her finger, and it all made sense. Nothing screams engagement more than a black-and-white image, a diamond ring, and a reference to one of Taylor Swift’s songs.
Jake also made an Instagram post showcasing the loved-up couple embracing each other on a beach. In the second image, they are seen affectionately gazing into each other's eyes; the caption below reads “Forever 🤍.”
Not long after, they were flooded with congratulatory messages from celebrities and fans alike. However, some Insta users also expressed their shock because of how young they are - @buseinberg commented, "im 19 and i haven't even thrown away my childhood toys yet".
Millie and Jake are only 19 and 20, respectively, and their love story couldn’t be more Gen-Z. The duo first met over Instagram and quickly became good friends. However, It didn’t take long for their friendship to blossom into love. Over the last 2.5 years of their relationship, the couple hasn’t shied away from sharing their most beautiful moments over social media. We have seen it all – birthday celebrations, joint holidays, concerts, premiers, and red carpets. It truly is a fairy tale romance.
That being said, who could imagine that just two and half years later, they would be announcing their engagement all over Instagram?
It doesn’t get much better than being young and in love… or does it? Both actors are establishing their careers in Hollywood. Millie Bobby Brown has built herself quite the repertoire with the hit tv series ‘Stranger Things’ as well as the movie franchise ‘Enola Holmes’. She has undoubtedly proved her versatility as an actor and her popularity continues to grow. Jake is also set to make his acting debut in the romantic comedy Sweethearts, featuring Nico Hiraga, Charlie Hall, and Kiernan Shipka. He has also bagged a role in Todd Tucker’s film Rockbottom which centers around a hair metal band from the 1980s called CougerSnake.
