Suella sacked after Sunak's cabinet reshuffle.

‘You have manifestly and repeatedly failed to deliver’ Wrote ex-home secretary Suella Braverman in an open letter to Prime-minister Rishi Sunak after being fired for the events that took place on the 11th. Braverman's position was reconsidered after calling the police ‘biased’ toward the pro-Palestinian demonstrators, later instigating a feud between the Police and far-right counter-protesters.

Sunak's decision to fire Braverman comes as no surprise as many were vocal on their opinions about her resignation following what took place on Remembrance Day. Braverman was called out for her dog-whistle rhetoric that compared pro-Palestine protestors to ‘extremists’ that display ‘thuggish’ behavior.

On Monday, Prime Minister Sunak organised a cabinet reshuffle which left Braverman replaced by James Cleverly. This decision seemed to have disappointed the ex-home secretary as she took to X to release her letter addressed to the Prime Minister. Braverman noted that Sunak's inability to carry out planned policies was a ‘Betrayal of your promise to the nation’ Braverman later goes on to say ‘I can only surmise that this is because you have no appetite for doing what is necessary, and therefore no real intention of fulfilling your pledge to the British people’

After only a little over a year, Braverman's run as home secretary came to an abrupt end. But Braverman seems to be turning her focus to Sunak who she believes is unfit to lead. She calls his leadership ‘weak’ and says that in her position as home secretary, she strove to be the voice of the ‘quiet majority’ and that she was always honest and true to those who put her in the ‘privileged position’. The quiet majority Braverman cites are those who agree with her views on migration. She expresses that this was one of three policies that Sunak alleged to make a priority and that his uninterest in carrying them out are the promises that have been broken. Promises that she states weren’t made casually ‘over dinner’

Sunak is yet to respond to Braverman's letter. After appointing former Prime-minister David Cameron as Foreign secretary his sights seem to be set elsewhere.
