Who was Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi?

Prominent Rajput leader in Rajasthan Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi was part of the Rajput Karni Sena led by Lokendra Singh Kalvi, which instigated the protests against Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmaavat in Rajasthan due to purported historical factual distortions concerning the Rajput community. But in 2015, Gogamedi was kicked out of the Karni Sena over some disagreements, and he started his organization called the "Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena." A Rajasthani woman from the Hanumangarh district made grave claims of rape against Gogamedi in 2017. The woman complained that Gogamedi had raped her and taken her to various locations. Gogamedi was cleared of all charges after the police determined that the case was fabricated.

The Lawrence Bishnoi group accepts accountability.

The men seated across from the outfit commander got up and opened fire on him while he was absorbed in a 20-second video clip. According to the police, "They (the attackers) sat with Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi for at least 10 minutes before shooting him." According to the authorities, Gogamedi's relative claimed that the outfit leader had been receiving threats for a while and was afraid of being attacked. The murder was linked to Rohit Godara, a gang member of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Godara stated in a Facebook post that he accepts full responsibility for the murder.

The murder sparked outrage among the Rajput community in Jaipur, which resulted in unrest and a state-wide bandh. Rajasthan Police on Wednesday identified the two gunmen who were engaged in the crime, marking a significant advancement in the murder investigation. According to the Rajasthan Police, the two attackers are Nitin Fauji and Rohit Rathore Makrana. Nitin Fauji resides in Mahendragarh, Haryana. A gunfight at Gogamedi's house resulted in the death of the third criminal, Naveen Shekhawat, who was also involved in the crime; also, one of Gogamedi's security guards was hurt. A Special Investigation Team was previously established by DGP Umesh Mishra, who also offered Rs 5 lakh to each person whose information resulted in the accused's arrest.

The Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena national chief, Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, was killed on Wednesday, and the ANI also stated that a case had been filed with his death.
