The Hardships of Always Being Right!

When talking to my friend the other day, she mentioned something pretty game-changing to me – that I always thought I was right. After telling me that, I realized something. For once, she made a good point. I am always right! I mean, if I think I’m always right, then it must be true. To celebrate, I decided to reminisce on all the times I’ve won an argument. Let me tell you, it was a long list. I honestly can’t remember the last time I was wrong. While it might seem pretty nice, it’s actually really difficult to never be wrong. Nobody understands the pressure of always being right and how boring it can be.

Nothing is interesting anymore because I can’t learn anything new. I already know everything. So many people need me to explain things to them… It gets really tiresome. I suspect people even pick arguments with me on purpose, hoping that I will educate them. But for some reason, they get mad when I do. What is their problem? Maybe if they too were right, they could understand. But I wouldn’t wish that burden on them.

Seriously, coming from personal experience, it can be hard. Maybe it’s due to a lack of expertise, but everyone I talk to is wrong. And because of that, I don’t know how to stop making people feel bad. I’m only trying to help. But when I tell them their feelings are invalid, they use this word called “gaslighting.” I don’t even believe in burning gas; it’s not good for the environment. I honestly thought they knew me better than that.

As you can tell, I’m incredibly miserable always being in the right. And if you can’t tell, then you’re wrong. I’d like to sign off using a quote from my biggest inspiration — myself. “Immature people always want to win an argument, even at the cost of a relationship. But mature people understand that relationships don’t even matter if the other person can’t acknowledge their supremacy.”
