The Real Story of Adarsh Nagar, Delhi: An example of Humanity, Compassion and Empathy.

ADARSH NAGAR, DELHI

I must say that there are still some kind people left on earth. Let me tell you about how the local people of my area helped the Covid-19 patients and their families.

Everyone is aware of how adversely the corona pandemic has affected the lives of innocent people. Many lost their loved ones, their jobs, their homes, and their education. Covid-19 has changed our lives drastically.

Covid-19's pandemic has drained people emotionally, physically, and financially. Lockdowns have also taken financial stabilities from people.

The number of Covid-19 patients was increasing day by day in my area. Many lost their lives because of the lack of treatment. They don't even have money for the necessities of life like food, shelter, clothing, and medicines.

Several people stayed alone during the frightening phase and shared their experiences of how tough it is to live miles away from home with the constant fear of their safety and their loved ones.

So People in my area have decided to make an association where anyone can donate money, food, and clothes for the corona patients and their families. A significant number of people came forward to help the needy. Many provided homemade food to the people who were living alone or were isolated. Covid-19 patients who can't afford expensive medicines were given medicines from the recovered Covid-19 patients.

It was a great initiative by the Adarsh Nagar locals. The covid-19 pandemic made people understand the need to become more human and unite to fight against the common enemy.

No matter one's caste, religion, and status; it is vital to show compassion and empathy towards each other.

Corona has taught each one of us to be grateful for everything we get in our lives. This pandemic was an eye-opener for everyone.

Spend time with your family, save money and take care of your health. That's the only thing that will help you to overcome every obstacle in life.
