The Unsurprising Downfall Of Andrew Tate

The self-proclaimed and controversial social media figure has been arrested in Romania. Andrew Tate and Tristan Tate have been arrested under charges relating to human trafficking, sexual assault, and organized crime, Romanian authorities confirm. Romanian authorities have stated that the Tate brothers and two other suspects will be detained for twenty-four hours.

This article will serve as a report on Andrew Tate and the various transgressions that led to his arrest.

Andrew Tate, a British – American former sportsman and reality TV star taunted social media platforms throughout 2022, plaguing Gen – Z’s minds with misogynistic, sexist, and archaic attitudes toward women. Tate was banned from all mainstream forms of social media at some point during 2022. In support of their ban, TikTok commented that “misogyny is a hateful ideology which is not tolerated.” Despite the multiple social media bans, Tate’s content is still accessible online, and he has become an idol for many misled young boys.

Sky News has highlighted his most controversial ‘hot takes’ which has left the internet flabbergasted. For example, Tate has taken to Twitter previously to state that rape victims need to hold themselves somewhat responsible for being attacked. He reinforces this idea through his misguided belief that women are the property of men. In addition, Tate has admitted that he likes the idea of “being free” while referencing rape. Furthermore, he enjoys manipulating young women to make a Twilight-Esque “imprint” on them.

From these misogynistic comments, it is unsurprising that Andrew Tate and his brother have followed through with their agenda. According to statements from Romanian investigators have been translated, in which six women have said they have been sexually abused and exploited by those above organized criminal groups. The prosecutors have summarized that Andrew Tate, alongside the three other suspects, has set up an organized crime group with the intent of exploiting women to create pornographic content, from which the founders will profit upon.

The organized criminal group will be held in Romanian custody for twenty-four hours so that the authorities may carry on their lines of questioning and gather evidence against the accused.

In conclusion, the decision over the next twenty-four hours, in the case of Andrew Tate, is highly anticipated. The actions and comments made by Tate have affected women across the globe as the attitude of misogyny has become ‘trending.’ Therefore, to seek justice for the women affected by Tate’s words and actions, the internet hopes that the appropriate judgment is served.
