The vaccination drive in Thane has taken a good role. "The Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) was the first civic body in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) to administer five lakh anti-Covid shots," city Mayor Naresh Mhaske said. "Thane city completed vaccination of 5,03,040 persons," the civic body said in a release. The vaccination played an important role in controlling the virus in the city.
On 14th July the Thane Municipal Corporation's Twitter account announced that Vaccination centers by TMC will remain closed on July 15, 2021. We apologize for the inconvenience. A limited session of 100 doses will be available at Post-Covid Centre for citizens traveling abroad for employment or education. Time: 11am-1pm.
Vaccination at all the private institutions will remain functional but, free vaccination centers will remain close for citizens who are not traveling abroad for employment or education
As Thane city is recording around 87 cases a day, vaccination is helping a lot in curbing the virus. The city in total has around 879 active cases and has a recovering rate of 97%. This could hamper the shining vaccination numbers in the city and could be of great inconvenience to the citizens.
