House Of Udyog is a new label that has emerged in this fast-fashion era because of its commitment to using entirely recycled materials. Aarush and Rushil Khanna, identical sixteen-year-old twins, started the brand as a charitable initiative. These young entrepreneurs started the company to help the numerous craft workers who lost their jobs because of the epidemic.
The primary objective of House Of Udyog was to deliver sustainable fashion at an affordable price. While developing their company strategy, the twins addressed sustainable development goals such as responsible consumption and production, supply of good working conditions, and economic growth. It took them around 7-8 months to gather sustainable cloth and form a team of unemployed artisans. As a result, they intend to lower the fashion industry's carbon footprint over time.
When asked what inspired them to launch the brand, the founders responded, "Back in April 2020, we decided to merge our passion for fashion with our societal obligation." First, they faced several obstacles, most notably locating a sustainable fabric that did not affect the environment. Finally, they found the cloth in a Dera Bassi factory with GRS (global recycling standard) certification. Early on, they also experienced financial difficulties.
After overcoming all these obstacles, House Of Udyog introduced its first line of hoodies in December 2020, which was well-received on the market, followed by loungewear in June 2021.
The majority of things on their website are currently unavailable. However, their products are dispatched throughout India. These efforts were appreciated by the Citizen Entrepreneurship Competition, which awarded them third place in the Best Youth Project category. When asked what their current objective is, the twin entrepreneurs responded, "We are currently striving to grow our project throughout India and to form partnerships with Indian artists."
The household of Udyog exemplifies the potential of young entrepreneurs and the difference they can make in the world now to make it a better place tomorrow. In addition, it is awe-inspiring to witness the young generation recognize the gravity of climate change and an effort to mitigate its adverse effects.
The rise in environmental consciousness has prompted consumers to respond positively to new businesses, and as a market, we want to transition to eco-friendly alternatives to fast fashion. In addition, House of Udyog has inspired young minds to do more than just read about issues in books; it has prompted them to create a market that will affect people's way of life in the future
