The Brazilian soccer player Vinicius Jr., who currently plays for the Spanish team Real Madrid, is being the biggest victim of racist acts. The extremely talented 22-year-old player, considered one of the best players in the world player has always passed this kind of prejudice because of his colour and even how he celebrates his goals. But in the last matches of the Spanish championship "La Liga", a competition in which he has an exemplary performance, he has been constantly suffering from hate crimes, according to the players' union. An example was when before the Spanish derby between Real Madrid and Atletico de Madrid, the colchonero, Atletico fans informed a dummy of the player and filmed it, with mean and racist speeches. The Brazilian player has always been a cause of anger and hatred among the fans of the opposing teams because, like other Brazilian athletes such as Ronaldinho, Neymar, and Paquetá, he dances after scoring a goal. Many take this as a provocation, but for Brazilians, it is just a way to commemorate, celebrate, and express happiness. The repercussion of racism and hatred after the dances the player were so great that it created a revolt among his teammates, fans, and the Brazilian players. The athletes decided to give strength to Vini, made dances honouring the striker, went to the press to defend him, and raised hashtags like "bailavini" and this made him continue with his essence. The player expressed himself on his personal Instagram after so much support, he came out publicly to try to put an end to all of this. He says: "These are dances to celebrate the cultural diversity of the world. Accept it, respect it. I will not stop. The script always ends with an apology and an 'I was misunderstood,' but I will repeat it for you, racist: I will not stop dancing. Whether in the Sambadrome, in the Bernabéu, or anywhere." He ends by stating, "On and off the field, I have developed an application to help educate children in public schools without financial help from anyone. I am building a school in my name. I will do much more for education. I want the next generations to be prepared, like me, to fight against racists and xenophobes. But unfortunately, so far there has not been any kind of punishment for these acts of hate. Not by the most important soccer authority in Spain RFEF (Real Spanish Football Federation) or by any other kind of local promoter. And La Liga says that they can only report any incident if the (RFEF) delivers something to them. But according to them, there are still investigations into the matter. However, the AFE is helping the victims of racist abuse in the competition. But after the investigation into one of the cases of racism suffered by Vini Jr. that happened at the end of last year (2022), but is still under investigation in which a fan says "You are a monkey, Vinicius, you are a monkey", LaLiga claims that it cannot be sure about the crime because the shouts were in the context of other "unpleasant" chants. This has caused outrage among fans, but they claim that they will not give up and want justice for this and all other events.
