October 31, 2021

As per the reports, Sariska Tiger Reserve (STR) will get new safari zones to promote travel and tourism. At present, only 5% of the area in Sariska Tiger Reserve is open for safaris and sighting tigers. In the days to come, there will be several developments, to which new safari zones will prove to be a delightful addition.

In a report shared by the Times of India, it has been quoted by Sariska Tiger Reserve Chief Conservator of Forests, R N Meena, "Soon, proposals to develop new routes will be tabled before the Local Advisory Committee (LAC). Recently, a National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) official gave in-principle approval to open new routes. We have developed monitoring routes before we open safari routes."

Since the COVID-19 pandemic has hit the nation, the tourism sector has suffered a lot. Sectors such as hospitality faced a terrible blow. Various businesses suffered. In an attempt to transform the face of business, safari zones as an addition to Sariska Tiger Reserve seems to be thrilling.

So, how are these new safari zones in Sariska going to change the landscape of India's wildlife and natural tourism? Where is the Sariska Tiger Reserve located and why is it of strategic importance in terms of boosting travel and tourism?

To answer this, it's vital to peep into the History of this region and reserve area. Dating back to years ago in History, these were private hunting reserves for the royals of Alwar, including the Maharaja of Alwar. These have been of prominence in earlier times. Sariska is an amalgamation of heritage, wildlife, and an experience hidden deep into nature. Located in Rajasthan's Alwar district, Sariska is truly a worthy wildlife and safari experience to witness the wonders of nature. It is a good tourism spot to promote tourism in the state of Rajasthan, thus generating a hefty amount of revenue for the state. It's home to the big cats aka ferocious tigers. It is divided into six ranges and hence, the vast area is an added advantage.

To elaborate upon the importance of opening up of new safari zones in the Sariska Tiger Reserve, we must add that it will elevate tourism and gain revenue due to travel-related activities including benefits to hotels, restaurants, transport, etc. nearby.

In conclusion to this, further developments and reports are still awaited as to how this is going to be done. Indeed, Sariska Tiger Reserve near Alwar, Rajasthan is seeing a fresh ray of hope due to the recent confirmation about opening up of new safari zones. Adventure lovers travel, and nature enthusiasts across India are excited about the same and hope to visit the new Safari Zones soon. Until then, we await the news from the Forest Department of Rajasthan State. Rest assured, safari ticket bookings can be booked via their official website and Sariska Tiger Reserve can be toured in a bus or an adventurous open jeep. It's a perfect weekend getaway from Jaipur or Delhi, the national capital of India. And, this travel news has been received with great enthusiasm and excitement.
