Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla etched his name in history as the first Indian astronaut to reach the International Space Station (ISS) on Axiom Mission 4, launched June 25, 2025. This Indo-US collaboration, backed by ISRO and NASA, saw Shukla aboard a SpaceX Dragon spacecraft, conducting over 60 experiments during a 14-day mission. Holding the Indian Tricolour, he shared his awe of Earth from space and the challenges of microgravity. This milestone paves the way for India’s Gaganyaan mission and the Bharatiya Antariksha Station, marking a new era in India’s space journey.
