A Journey into the Enchanting World of 'The Night Circus' by Erin Morgenstern"

But dreams have ways of turning into nightmares.||

-Erin Morgenstern

"There are some books we come across that we just ABSOLUTELY have no words for. It leaves us in such wonder and admiration that we can't express it in suitable statements. This book could be the best example when we want to portray symmetry and magical realism in one masterpiece.

"The Night Circus" is a fantasy novel written by Erin Morgenstern. It was published in 2011 and quickly gained popularity for its enchanting and atmospheric storytelling.

The novel revolves around a mysterious and magical competition between two young illusionists, Celia Bowen and Marco Alisdair. These two individuals are bound by their mentors to participate in a challenge, using their respective magical talents to create elaborate and mesmerizing displays within a circus called "Le Cirque des Rêves" (The Circus of Dreams). The circus is unique in that it operates only at night and features incredible and enchanting displays, from a garden of ice to a labyrinth of clouds.

One definitely will be going into in-depth emotions as one swiftly reads one page after the another. Morgenstern created a world. A world just so hard to resist. A world that becomes a part of your life before you know it and every time you  close your eyes and try to imagine it, you can't help but smile at the warmth and soothing it courses in your body.

As Celia and Marco create increasingly intricate and breathtaking illusions within the circus, they start to develop feelings for each other despite being pitted against one another in the competition. The story also delves into the lives of various characters connected to the circus, including performers, patrons, and creators.

The narrative is characterized by its vivid descriptions, intricate world-building, and a touch of magical realism. The novel weaves together themes of love, sacrifice, destiny, and the power of imagination. Morgenstern's prose creates an ethereal and dreamlike atmosphere that draws readers into the enchanting world of the circus.

These types of books don't need reviews that comment on their storyline or plot or anything related to the construction of the book.

This is a type of a book you cherish and love and just thank god they exist in the world as your escapes. Beautiful escapes that you can't ever get tired of.

The author writes so magnificently bold beautiful, her words left magic within me, I can't remember when did it start like a dream and I was afraid someone would wake me up any time, forcing me apart from these captivating, handful moments I had left to live and it just ended like a sweet memory that will always remain fresh in the back of my mind.

I am very particular about books that have well defined characters, a strongly explained plot that leaves no doubts or confusions and a satisfactory ending. Yes, I am!

I forgot it all while I was treasuring The Night Circus. Yes, I won't say 'I was reading' but 'I was treasuring' because for me, this isn't a type of a book to just read, review and keep it aside on your shelf, completely neglecting it's existence, but to dote on and smile when your eyes have it's glimpse.

I know, it completely feels like exaggeration but for me, every metaphor feels like an understatement.

The Night Circus" is known for its nonlinear storytelling, jumping back and forth in time and perspective, which adds to the sense of mystery and intrigue. The novel has been praised for its evocative writing style and its ability to transport readers to a fantastical realm where the boundaries between reality and magic are blurred.

Overall, "The Night Circus" is celebrated for its unique concept, rich imagery, and exploration of the magical and romantic elements of storytelling. It has gained a devoted following and has been widely regarded as a modern fantasy classic.

I know there are some things just left unexplained and it leaves you out of the loop, a feeling like something substantial is missing but for the first time, I don't mind that.

Because I'm just in awe of the beauty of the words (again, the author is amazing!) and I like to assume that it leaves the reader pondering on the subject. There's just one regret I have, my power of imagination. You dive into its imagination, you just can't find the land. It keeps on sinking you, until you exhaust yourself and I wish I could increase my depth of imagining the circus, just so I can enjoy it with utter happiness.

"The Night Circus" is filled with beautiful quotes and metaphors that capture its enchanting atmosphere and themes. Here are a few notable ones you can ponder upon:

1. "You may tell a tale that takes up residence in someone's soul, becomes their blood and self and purpose. That tale will move them and drive them and who knows what they might do because of it, because of your words. That is your role, your gift."

2. "The circus arrives without warning. No announcements precede it. It is simply there, when yesterday it was not."

3. "Life takes us to unexpected places sometimes. The future is never set in stone, remember that."

4. "Secrets have a way of making themselves known even when they are not true secrets. They're more like unspoken words."

5. "It is important. Someone needs to tell those tales. When the battles are fought and won and lost, when the pirates find their treasures and the dragons eat their foes for breakfast with a nice cup of Lapsang souchong, someone needs to tell their bits of overlapping narrative. There's magic in that. It's in the listener, and for each and every ear it will be different, and it will affect them in ways they can never predict. From the mundane to the profound. You may tell a tale that takes up residence in someone's soul, becomes their blood and self and purpose. That tale will move them and drive them and who knows that they might do because of it, because of your words. That is your role, your gift."

6. "You think, as you walk away from Le Cirque des Rêves and into the creeping dawn, that you felt more awake within the confines of the circus. You are no longer quite certain which side of the fence is the dream."

7. "People see what they wish to see. And in most cases, what they are told that they see."

8. "The most difficult thing to read is time. Maybe because it changes so many things."

9. "The circus arrives without warning. It is simply there when yesterday it was not."

10. "The finest of pleasures are always the unexpected ones."

These quotes and metaphors capture the essence of "The Night Circus," its magical ambiance, and its exploration of imagination and reality. The book is filled with many more poetic and evocative passages that contribute to its unique charm.
