Recent reports suggest that as attacks in Ukraine continue to prolong, the impacts are getting worse as the heavy artillery forces continue to close in. This has resulted in a bloodbath in Ukraine as the country turned into a deadly warzone. There are accounts of continuous shelling still taking place over multiple cities such as Kyiv. Numerous Ukrainian citizens, especially those who can fight, are left trapped making it difficult for them to leave. But if this conflict continues to be prolonged, does it mean there is no Ukraine in the future or perhaps a divided Ukraine?
The region of Donbas has been impacted the most by this prolonged conflict through shelling. These include isolated families and friends, injured residents, and terrified locals.
The attacks are said to be from both sides of the conflict. Multiple firings are taking place in the nearby villages. Some of these firings have ended up being extremely close to certain significant locations. For instance, a missile landed one kilometer away from the Ukrainian border.
Although the casualties reported are said to be very limited, this doesn’t deny the fact that there are still some casualties and individuals who have lost their lives. The firings in nearby villages have cast a shadow over the future of the occupants as well.
Much of the damage from this prolonged conflict is evident on the surface of Ukraine as the soldiers keep closing in amidst heightened tensions and rising confusion.
