One month has already passed since Russia decided to open an attack against Ukraine to “demilitarize” it. Since then, the army has waged a relentless battle to maintain its independence.
Despite this, the negotiations in neutral territories continue without giving concrete results to end this conflict. However, the adviser to the Ukrainian president indicated that the Ukrainians will be consulted in a referendum to approve any agreement linking neutrality status with security guarantees:
"It will be a referendum in which all citizens of Ukraine will express their position on this agreement, on how it should work," he told Ukrainian television.
It should be noted that senior members of the Ukrainian delegation spoke today with Russian officials, stating that progress has been made after a day of talks in Turkey, and they have given more details about the security guarantees that Ukraine expects after a ceasefire.
On the other hand, a call from US President Joe Biden with his European allies is expected in the coming days to discuss the latest developments related to Russia's ongoing war in Ukraine.
For the time being, both scenarios continue, and the conflict between Ukraine and Russia continues to unfold.
