Serhiy Volyna, deputy commander of the Marines in Mariupol, indicated that the current situation is completely difficult and there are also problems with the provision of basic services, including food and medicine for the wounded in the war. This deputy commander points out that he has fought in this region since 2014 when Russia made Crimea his own, and since then, he has not stopped fighting, much less in the current 40 days of the war.
In addition, Volyna added that the Russian army outnumbers them and outweighs them, which is an uphill battle when it comes to fighting them. However, his biggest concern is aerial bombing, noting that:
"They are wiping the city off the face of the earth and wherever there are reinforcements they are also using their tanks to crush them."
Volyna closed by adding that it is very possible that he is fighting against former teammates who have gone over to the Russian side and that it is painful to see this situation.
