Joyce Lin | Pittsburgh, PA

I am a recent graduate with a B.A. degree in Political Science, a dual minor in Legal Psychology and Creative and Professional Writing, and a Children's Literature certificate from the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg. 

As a journalism intern for TheSocialTalks, I am excited to further explore the world of journalism and research with particular attention to human health, environmental issues, and political events. I aim to provide well-researched, clearly explained, and unbiased information across a range of topics in the form of articles. When I insert short, personal insights into articles, my intentions are never to discredit your values or opinions but rather intended to encourage awareness and different perspectives on the topic at hand. 

I had a professor who often quoted a thoughtful line from the American poet and activist Maya Angelou: "Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better." I will keep those words close to my heart as I write and I hope you do the same as you read.
