Chicago’s Christkindlmarket returns, Lifting Holiday Spirits For Its 26th Year

The Christkindlmarket brings back Chicagoans’ holiday cheer as the market reopens for the season. The German-inspired holiday market has been a hit since its grand opening. 

The market holds local and international vendors selling many items that will attract a crowd. From German wine called Glühwein to handmade ornaments, people are sure to find what they’re looking for. In addition, the market holds handfuls of stands that individuals can visit at their leisure and food trucks. The market has a map of Daley Plaza for visitors, including vendor details, public transportation advice, and tips for what each tent is selling. Some highlighted pop-up vendors include glass ornaments (November 25-December 24) and a hot pepper farm (November 18-24).

The Christkindlmarket is located in three locations: Wrigleyville, Aurora, and downtown Chicago (Daley Plaza). The market opened on Friday, November 18, and is set to close on Saturday, December 24. The event is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays and til 9 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Admission to the market is free, and the market encourages everyone to come and visit.
