Digital Satellite television (Dstv) hosted an event with a couple of international artists, but South Africans were crazy about the fact that Burna Boy was one of those artists.
WHAT WAS CONSIDERED TO BE THE BIGGEST AND MOST-ANTICIPATED FESTIVAL has turned out to be chaotic.
Thandekile Mthethwa, in her article on Entertainment published on 25 September 2022, mentioned that several people attended the first day of the two-day long DStv Delicious Festival on 24 September since the festival took a hiatus following COVID-19.
The festival occurred at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit in Midrand, Johannesburg. Following the event, the organisers received negative reviews.
DSTV DELICIOUS FESTIVAL FAILS ATTENDEES
The festival promised attendees good vibes and good food, but it seems that neither was delivered.
Attendees complained that they went to a food festival but returned hungry because of the long queues. Others claimed it took them almost 3 hours to get inside the venue because of the poor organisation.
The festival reportedly sold out of tickets, and the VIP section was nothing more than a joke and a waste of their money.
VIP attendees also expressed their disappointment on Twitter after seemingly not enjoying the show despite paying more than R2000 for a ticket.
Musicians like Kabelo, Thebe, Nissi, Major League DJz, and Burna Boy took the stage and entertained the disappointed audience.
The audience in the VIP section said they could not hear the music, and the fest was hit by a fake ticket scandal.
Reportedly, Sunday went a lot smoother than Saturday at the festival. Unfortunately, what is trending on social media right now is the disappointment fans experienced due to a lack of planning.
Despite the turmoil, many people were in awe of Burna Boys' performance, saying that he saved the festival. This was the first time he had performed in South Africa in years, and people showed up for this occasion.
