After four months, India has recorded 17,073 new COVID cases, with a positivity rate of more than 5%.

Active cases account for 0.22 percent of all illnesses. According to the government, the national COVID-19 recovery rate was 98.57 percent. In a 24-hour period, the active COVID-19 case count increased by 1,844 cases, according to the statistics.

The daily positivity rate was 5.62 percent, while the weekly positivity rate was 3.39 percent, according to the report. The number of persons who have recovered from the sickness has risen to 4,27,87,606, with a case fatality rate of 1.21 percent.

According to the ministry, 197.11 crore doses of vaccine have been delivered in the country thus far as part of the statewide COVID-19 immunisationcampaign.

The active cases increased to 94,420, comprising 0.22 percent of the total infections.

According to the statistics, there have been 21 fresh deaths, including six from Kerala, five from Maharashtra, four from Delhi, two from Goa, one from Punjab, and one each from Jammu & Kashmir and Uttar Pradesh.
