SKIMS, reality TV star Kim Kardashian’s shape-wear brand, has been revolutionising shape wear and empowering women since 2019 due to its seamless fit that makes women all around the world feel confident and empowered in their own skin. 

 

SKIMS creation was due to Kim Kardashian struggling to find shape wear and clothes that matched her own skin tone. Since being founded, SKIMS say they are committed to inclusivity with sizes ranging from XXS to 4XL. Recently, they launched lines that are adaptable so that people with mobility issues can feel empowered and can wear SKIMS too.

SKIMS revealed its plans to open its first physical store in Los Angeles before mid 2024, followed by a second store in New York. In October 2023, SKIMS announced its official partnership with the NBA highlighting how the company is branching out and creating men’s shape wear including boxers, underwear and loungewear. The $4 billion deal will attract a new range of customers to the brand including athletes, sports enthusiasts, and men. This proves that SKIMS is committed to providing a diverse range of products to their customers and empowering them to feel confident and comfortable in their own skin. 

 

With the expansion of SKIMS collections and online and physical presence, Kim Kardashian’s company continues to break the boundaries of shape wear for everyone regardless of gender, skin tone and ability. Through the official partnership with the NBA and the anticipated opening of physical stores in Los Angeles and New York, SKIMs are set to take the world by storm in the coming years by promoting diversity and inclusivity in every collection they launch.
