AEW reveals release date for video game, Fight Forever

Pro-wrestling and gaming fans rejoice! All Elite Wrestling (AEW) has finally revealed the release date for their much-anticipated video game, AEW Fight Forever. After many months of waiting, fans will finally be able to get their hands on AEW’s first-ever video game on June 29th, 2023. AEW professional wrestler Kenny Omega made the long-awaited announcement today through their YouTube channel.

“We wanted to develop an arcade experience that was fun, easy to pick up and play, but difficult to master. We believe that AEW and our partners with Yuke’s have created just that experience” says Omega. Omega has been working closely with the video game developing company, Yuke’s since the game had first been announced in November 2020 at the AEW Games 1.0 Special Event.

AEW Founder Tony Khan, made a statement regarding the release of AEW Fight Forever. “With Fight Forever, Kenny and our world-class team have delivered an authentic, nostalgic feel of wrestling games past, along with the unmatched creativity that AEW brings to the table,” says Khan. He describes Fight Forever as a “fresh and much-needed alternative next-gen console wrestling game.”

Omega explained that Fight Forever would provide a similar gameplay style to older wrestling games such as WWF No Mercy, a popular choice among wrestling fans. AEW Fight Forever aims to emulate the arcade feel of old-school wrestling games and combine that with the innovative and high-risk maneuvers that AEW wrestlers are known for.

Players will be able to choose from a multitude of different modes and matches and will be able to feel like they are part of the action with the endless amounts of content Fight Forever includes. Fans will be able to partake in the same wild matches they see on TV such as chaotic Unsanctioned Lights Out matches and exhilarating Exploding Barbed Wire Death matches. Players will also be able to create their own wrestlers through the career mode and customize them with their very own move set and entrance.

Upon the day of release, the game’s roster will be stacked with 50 AEW stars including Kenny Omega, Jon Moxley, CM Punk, and Britt Baker. In addition, AEW Fight Forever will continuously be updating with new content to keep fans coming back for more. AEW Fight Forever will be available to play on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
