Summer Soccer Transfer Rumors

Wednesday– The summer transfer window of the 2023 season has seen some big-name signings for major clubs around the world. Leagues from the MLS to the Saudi League have picked up notable players in hopes of developing into a higher-status league.

With all the rumors going around, some names are yet to pick a club. Here are some of the biggest rumors yet.

  1. Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid

There is no hiding that this transfer rumor has been going around for years. Real Madrid has looked extremely close to signing the Frenchman, and Mbappe has often denied the rumors. With the signing of Jude Bellingham and Joselu, Madrid are yet to make their big striker signing of the summer.

PSG currently has one more year on Mbappe’s contract and can get him to leave for a fee and avoid letting him go for free next summer.

  1. Harry Kane to Bayern Munich

Early in the summer, Kane looked to be a new Madrid player, but Tottenham shifted their focus and prioritized trying to keep the English striker. Now, Thomas Tuchel, coach of Bayern Munich, is keen on adding to his arsenal of attacking threats. Kane has been at Spurs since 2009.

Now at 29 years old, Kane is eager to move clubs and start winning titles. This year he broke the record for most goals in a Tottenham shirt. Kane’s goal-scoring ability can help any club, and the German champions look ahead of the race.

  1. Neymar to Barcelona

This rumor is far-fetched because of Neymar’s links to multiple clubs this summer. Neymar, like Mbappe signing for PSG for a ridiculous price tag. Neymar still remains the most expensive transfer in football history when he left Barca to go to the French side. After a disappointing spell, PSG are now looking to renovate their team all over again, and letting go of Neymar’s wages can help the club expand their roster. Neymar.

It is rumored that the two clubs have agreed personal terms but have yet to discuss wages and a transfer fee. The 31-year-old Brazilian is coming to a close on his career, and transferring to Spain could help him get back to his full potential.
