The United States Women's National Team (USWNT) has announced its 27-player training camp roster for the upcoming friendly matches against the Colombian Women’s Team, Las Cafeteras, next week. The interim head coach of the USWNT, Twila Kilgore, has included both experienced veterans and promising young talents in the roster.
Fans can look forward to seeing familiar faces, like Becky Sauerbrunn, the veteran defender who missed the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup due to a foot injury, and Sophia Smith, the forward who is back from a knee injury she sustained during NWSL play. Both players have made a comeback to the USWNT roster.
The roster also includes 18-year-old forward Jaedyn Shaw and midfielder Olivia Moultrie. While Shaw previously joined the team for training during the September friendlies but did not play in any games, this marks the first time Moultrie has been called up for the senior national team. U.S. soccer fans have a reason to be excited about the upcoming matches.
The USWNT is scheduled to play against Columbia on Oct. 26 at America First Field in Sandy, Utah. The game will be aired live at 9:00 PM EST on TBS, Universo, and Peacock. The two teams will face each other again on Oct. 29 at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego at 5:30 PM EST. The game will be available to watch on TNT, Telemundo, Universo, Peacock, and FDP Radio.
