Sweet Summer Game Sales

It is that time of the year again – summer! With summer comes savings and, of course, summer break for students in elementary, high school, college, and even university. This summer, two well-known companies, Steam and Nintendo, announced the start of their summer sale. These sales will include multiple games; certain games are even 85% off, as shown in the picture below.

Practically every holiday, the company known as Steam has a sale to encourage people to buy new games and increase those games popularity. For example, in 2021, Steam had 12 game sales in total.

According to Steamdb these sales were given the following names: Game Festival 2021, Lunar New Year Sale, Remote Play Together 2021, Golden Week Sale 2021, Open World Sale, Next Fest: June 2021, Summer Sale 2021, Next Fest: October 2021, Digital Tabletop Fest 2021, Halloween Sale 2021, Autumn Sale 2021, and the Winter Sale 2021.

For the Summer 2022 Steam sale, 4,150 games have gone on sale for the entire length of the Steam Summer sale; however, if you want to purchase a game during the sale, you do not have much time left as the sale ends on July 7, 2022, according to Steamdb.

One game on Steam called Tell Me Why is shockingly on sale with 100% off! This means that you would not even have to pay to own the game, click the purchase button and then the game is yours to keep! Although it did say that some terms and conditions apply.

The Nintendo Eshop sale has many games to choose from that are at least 10% off. One game known as Cozy Grove is currently 35% off. It is usually $16.99 Canadian, but until the Nintendo Eshop Summer Sale is over, it only costs $10.99 Canadian.

Nintendo is not only having a summer sale currently, but they have a variety of sales ongoing. These current sales are known as the Big Ol’ Super Sale (that started on June 23, 2022, and will end on July 6, 2022), the Ubisoft June Summer Sale (from June 23, 2022, until July 6, 2022), 2K Publisher Sale (from June 23, 2022, until July 6, 2022), and the Monster Hunter Franchise Sale (from June 13, 2022, until July 3, 2022).

Nintendo also has four more sales ongoing, known as the SEGA Summer Sale (from June 23, 2022, until July 6, 2022), the Hot Summer Deals on Activision Blizzard Games (from June 23, 2022, until July 6, 2022), the Devolver Digital Summer Sale (from June 23, 2022, until July 6, 2022), and the Annapurna Interactive Summer Sale 2022 (from June 23, 2022, until July 6, 2022). These sales are easy to find as they are on Nintendo’s sales and deals page and are frequently updated to showcase any sales they might have.

If you are someone who loves to play video games but also likes to save money whenever possible, then the Steam and Nintendo summer sales are perfect for you! There are so many games to choose from, and popular games like the Assassin’s Creed series and Monster Hunter Rise are also on sale! The Steam and Nintendo summer sales are also the perfect time to buy your friend a game from their wish list!
