The Google Search Logged Its Highest Ever Traffic In Twenty Five Years

Google and Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai officially revealed on Monday, 19 December 2022, that the Google search logged its highest-ever traffic in twenty-five years due to the enthralling FIFA World Cup 2022 Final. Furthermore, it broke all past records in terms of search volume. So the entire world was searching about one thing. He announced this information via a post on his official Twitter handle.


 



"It was one of the greatest games ever," Pichai praised both sides. Elon Musk, CEO of Twitter, said France's first goal recorded 24,400 tweets per second, the highest ever for the World Cup. He attended the final in Qatar and praised the teams, adding that he "could not ask for a better game."



Tim Cook tweeted about the final, terming it "one of the greatest games I have ever seen."



Google search was founded in 1988 by Sergey Brin and Larry Page. It dominates the market more than ever, with a 90 percent market share in 2022.


 


Argentina bagged the FIFA World Cup 2022 trophy and defeated two-time champions France 4-2 on penalties in the final match on Sunday, 18 December. After extra time the World Cup final was tied at 3-3. However, while Lionel Messi scored twice, Kylian Mbappe made eyes turn and hearts beat faster by scoring a hat-trick. The game was so thrilling that viewers could not move their eyes, and it even made new fans around the globe who were unfamiliar with the sport.


 


The research scientist at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the United States and Lex Fridman, host of the Lex Fridman Podcast, replied to Pichai: "Over a billion people turned in, united by their love of the game. That is the best thing about football, it is truly a global game that unites us."


 


The FIFA World Cup 2022 Final, France vs. Argentina, was a nail-biting match. It fulfilled the dream of millions to see the legendary Lionel Messi end his last game with an edge. It also marked the fulfillment of Lionel Messi's dream of winning the prestigious trophy, which raised him even further, placing him among the greatest athletes of all time.
