An Engineer From Nashik was Detained For Disbursing Funds to ISIS

A 32-year-old engineer from Nashik City was apprehended today by authorities for reportedly supporting and financing the banned terrorist group ISIS three times, according to an official statement by the Anti Terrorism Squad.

The ATS from Maharashtra has made a towering breakthrough by apprehending this person, known to have an import-export enterprise in a city far away from Mumbai. Various other nuances pertaining to this case have been exposed since the arrest, as the findings of various international covet groups have come to light regarding providing support to ISIS. Religious fanaticism was something the accused had practiced for a while.

The accused stayed in contact with the extremist group for quite a while, as per the findings of the investigation, therefore deepening the concern of national security that could otherwise be compromised if the accused had flawless dealings with the extremist group.

Various items were confiscated from the house of the accused, such as laptops, SIM cards, and pen drives, citing a deep involvement with the terror group.

As per ANI, ATS Maharashtra has registered a case under sections 39(1)(a), 40(1)(b)(c) of the UAPA, 1967 against an individual, as per the press release.

A court session has been conducted for the accused, as per the authorities. Upon going through the ins and outs of the case, the decision was made to keep the accused under the custody of the Anti-Terrorsim Squad until the 31st of January.

There could be various links belonging to the accused, living within the area or elsewhere, told by the authorities, who are looking further into breaking it.

ISIS has been responsible for carrying out and inciting acts of terrorism on a global scale, leading to the loss of numerous lives and causing severe casualties. Employing a range of tactics, including targeted assassinations, IED attacks, surprise assaults reminiscent of military operations, abductions, and suicide bombings, ISIS has unleashed a wave of violence in Iraq and Syria. Furthermore, the group actively promotes and urges its followers across the world to carry out similar operations within their nations, utilizing easily accessible weapons.
