In a significant development surrounding the alleged corruption in the Kiru Hydroelectric Project, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has initiated action against former Jammu & Kashmir Governor, Satyapal Malik. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has been actively probing the matter, conducting extensive searches at thirty locations linked to Satyapal Malik. The probe focuses on suspected corruption in the awarding of contracts for civil works related to the Kiru Hydro Electric Power Project, amounting to a staggering ₹2,200 crores.
