Neeraj Pandey's next big-screen project is a romantic thriller called Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, which stars Ajay Devgn and Tabu in the lead roles, with Jimmy Shergill and Saiee Majrekar being part of the supporting cast. Neeraj Pandey has directed films including A Wednesday, Special 26, Baby, and MS Dhoni: The Untold Story. The thriller starring Neeraj Pandey is still in post-production, and fans are discussing its likely release date on social media. In a special interview with the news outlet Pinkvilla, Neeraj Pandey provided many tantalizing updates regarding Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha.
“Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha is a musical love tale that premieres in June of this year. That's all I can say about it for now,” the filmmaker, who has seen back-to-back success on Disney+Hotstar with Special Ops, Special Ops 1.5, and Freelancer, said. “The release date will shortly be revealed with the publication of a teaser and trailer,” Pandey further added.
The production of the film is handled by Kumar Mangat, Neeraj Pandey, and Narendra Hirawat. Although no news has been revealed from the producers’ side, industry rumors indicate that Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha will make an appearance during the week of Bakri Eid in 2024.

Neeraj Pandey attempted to construct a universe of special forces with Baby and Naam Shabana in 2015, and he intended to go further with it. However, the plans were shelved for reasons the director knows well. Although Neeraj is happy to have created a trend, he maintains that he is no longer excited by the universe's template. “Customers benefit from people switching between franchises; they find it enjoyable. As long as the creators are persuaded, it's an intriguing format. But I'm no longer as excited about it. stuff's okay, a lot of stuff has been completed," he said.

Set between 2002 and 2023, the film is a multilingual release that promises to be a unique musical love story with an epic romantic drama lasting over 20 years. The original soundtrack for the movie was composed by the renowned and highly regarded music director M. M. Kreem. Shantanu Maheshwari and Saiee Manjrekar also play important supporting parts in the movie.
In films such as Drishyam, Golmaal Again, Fitoor, Haqeeqat, Thakshak, De De Pyaar De, Drishyam 2, and Bholaa, Ajay and Tabu have appeared together on screen. In addition, Ajay will feature in three more films: Rohit Shetty's action movie Singham Again, the historical drama Maidaan which also stars R Madhavan, and an unnamed supernatural thriller directed by Boney Kapoor.
