On August 5, American song producer Benny Blanco released "Bad Decisions," a collaboration with world-renowned K-pop group BTS and Snoop Dogg. Fans of these musical performers have one more song to conclude their summer on a high note, with a catchy tune and lyrics to sing along to.

"Bad Decisions" features BTS's vocal lines (Jin, Jungkook, Jimin, and V) as well as Snoop Dogg's soothing, chill rap style. The original music video debuted on Benny Blanco's YouTube page, and while the BTS members are not in the video, their vocals dominate the song.

BTS is a global music group that is making waves in the music industry in the United States. Along with this collaboration, they released songs with other well-known musicians this year, including "Left and Right" with Charlie Puth and "My Universe" with Coldplay. The group broadens its appeal to its global followers by singing more songs in English, which is evident of "Bad Decisions" and other songs they released, such as "Dynamite," "Butter," and "Permission to Dance."

The song has an overall pop music sound with a touch of R&B. It's a tune that listeners can both dance to and mellow out to on a hot summer day. The lyrics are straightforward, concentrating on the flame of love that one person feels for another.

BTS speaks about their love interest's natural beauty at the start of the song, while the line "Inside my heart, there's nothing but a burning flame" emphasizes the lasting force of love that they feel.

Because the song is titled "Bad Decisions," the lyrics imply that these decisions involve spending all of their time with the person with whom they are in love. The phrase, "I want you Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, baby, every night," captures the excitement of someone falling in love, and while it may appear to be a horrible decision, they want their world to revolve around the person they love.

Snoop Dogg has two significant parts in the song, where their rap style is slower-paced and has a more relaxing tone. "Let's do everything you've always wanted," one of the lyrics says. "Have some fun and enjoy your life," can also represent the lifestyles that people now desire, especially in the aftermath of the COVID-19 impact.

Along with the release of the song, the music video offers another layer of pleasure for the artists' fans, particularly BTS fans. The video was shot from the perspective of a BTS Army fan, played by Benny Blanco, who was preparing for a BTS concert.

The music video shows Benny Blanco's room, which is decorated with BTS posters, photocards, and even a BTS cake. As the hours pass and the show approaches, they get more unpredictable and excited.

They dress up in their finest attire and race to the musical location, only to discover that they are a day early. This concept appears to underline how dedicated the BTS global fanbase is since their concerts sell out quickly and followers flood social media to demonstrate their support for the group.

The music video also highlights features that many BTS fans are familiar with, such as the BTS emblem, the significance of the color purple (indicating BTS's love for their fans), and sequences from BTS's English song "Dynamite" from 2020. It's a sly depiction of a BTS fan, but it highlights how their influence in the music industry has grown abroad.

Though "Bad Decisions" is another love song to add to your next Spotify playlist, it is also a song about the simple delights of spending time with someone you care about. As summer 2022 draws to a close, "Bad Decisions" embodies the optimism and carefree attitude that people require right now.
