The 2024 Super Bowl took place on February 11, with the Kansas City Chiefs winning 25-22 against the San Francisco 49ers. Taylor Swift flew to Las Vegas to watch the game and to support Travis Kelce after her final leg of the Eras Tour in Tokyo. The relationship between the superstar and the sports star has gone viral over social media, with both Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift fans seemingly invested in the relationship.
Many took to social media to query whether Taylor Swift would be able to make it to the Super Bowl to support Travis Kelce after her show in Tokyo. Surprisingly, the singer made it to the game and watched from her suite with her friends and other celebrities, such as Blake Lively, and Ice Spice.
Taylor appeared to be one of Kelce’s biggest supporters of the night, aside from his family, as she was seen animatedly cheering Kelce on and reacting to the game with actress Blake Lively. After Kelce’s win Taylor Swift went down to the field, and pictures of Taylor and Travis kissing and embracing have now gone viral on social media.
Taylor featured on the big screens during the game, in which opposing fans booed Taylor and she proceeded to grab and drink her drink in one on the big screen. Taylor Swift has been notoriously receiving hate on social media whenever she attends Kansas Chiefs games for appearing on the big screen.
Many football fans have taken to social media to complain about Taylor’s continued appearance in these games. They were further enraged when Taylor Swift appeared on the poster for the Super Bowl alongside the players and the half time show act Usher.
Despite Taylor Swift coming to the game to support Travis Kelce, many users have taken to X to comment on Taylor’s carbon emissions. Taylor Swift has used her private jet a considerable amount and she has started to be scrutinised by many for her emissions, including her fans who are struggling to defend her online.
Since starting her tour and dating Travis Kelce, Taylor’s use of her private jet has increased so she can fulfil her tour dates across the world and attend Kelce’s games.
However, whilst Taylor Swift has indeed increased the usage of her private jet, others are social media are arguing that Taylor Swift is not the only celebrity to use her jet excessively. Celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Travis Scott, and Elon Musk are only some famous people who have high carbon emissions.
The list of stars who use their private jets ranges from business tycoons, performers, and sports stars. Many Taylor Swift fans are unable to defend her actions whilst other social media fans are arguing that Taylor Swift seems to be the only celebrity who is under fire for her carbon emissions.
