Usha Mangeshkar says,” didi is doing much better now, Coronavirus didn’t affect her much”

According to the reports, Lata Mangeshkar has been hospitalized in Mumbai’s breach candy hospital for being tested positive for covid-19. Her hospital admission news was confirmed by her niece, Rachna. The news was public on 11 January but she was in ICU from Saturday night.

Her sister, Usha Mageshkar said it was unlikely that Lata would be discharged soon. Earlier that day, Dr. Pratith Sumdhani, who headed the medical team to treat Lata Mangeshkar, said the legendary singer is suffering from pneumonia in addition to covid-19.

After the news got viral on all social media platforms, everyone their fans, a hoard of celebrities, politicians prayed for Lata Mangeshkar's fast recovery from the virus. Further, Usha said neither herself nor any other family member could see ‘didi’ given the fact that this is the case with covid-19. Although there are enough doctors and nurses.

Rachna shah, Lata Mangeshkar's niece, later updated on her health saying, “ didi is stable and alert. God was very kind. She is a fighter and surely will win this battle. I would like to express her gratitude to all her fans across the country for keeping her in her prayers”.

In today’s report, Usha Mangeshkar says, “ she is doing much better now, corona virus didn’t affect her much, she will recover soon and will be discharged in one or two days. Yeah she does have a pneumonia and congestion which I think will get cleared today”.

This is a good news that Lata despite of her age (92 years) is getting better and feeling good. But the third wave of covid is attacking mostly children. And majority of cases in India at present are of younger kids even 4 months old. The government is deciding to give a third does of the vaccination, though it’s not confirmed yet.

We all should try and take this wave very seriously, take care of ourselves and our loved ones and maintain distance.
