Following the horrifying mass shooting that occurred at the Kansas City parade, Taylor Swift has contributed $100,000 to a fund-raiser for the victim's family. The American celebrity sent condolences to the family of Lisa Lopez-Galvan, 44, who lost her life while watching the football team's victory parade in Kansas City's Union Station following their Super Bowl victory.

Together with her husband and their adult son, Marc, who was also shot, Lisa Lopez-Galvan was struck down while at Union Station in Kansas City.

In honour of the mother-of-two, Ms. Lopez-Galvan's family has created a GoFundMe page and Swift sent them a private note. "Sending my deepest sympathies and condolences in the wake of your devastating loss. With love, Taylor Swift."  the singer wrote.

In order to give the Lopez-Galvan family the necessary financial support during these trying times, they had originally set a target of $75,000 on their GoFundMe website. But because of Swift's charitable donations and the overwhelming support from others, the family has now raised an amazing $221,384, exceeding their initial goal.

The family conveyed their appreciation, calling Lisa Lopez-Galvan a "wonderful mother" and regretting the "unimaginable tragedy" that had happened to her. They posted an emotional note on their GoFundMe page, that said "Lisa was celebrating the Chiefs Super Bowl Victory parade when senselessly killed. She is survived by two children and her husband of 22 years. She was an amazing mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to so many. We ask that you continue to keep her family in your prayers as we grieve the loss of her life."

According to Kansas City authorities, there appeared to be a dispute between multiple individuals that led to the mass shooting, which is the 49th in the US this year alone.

According to Police Chief Stacey Graves, half of the 22 victims injured in the incident were under the age of sixteen. The victims' ages ranged from eight to 47. Videos captured by bystanders showed some Chiefs supporters tackling and detaining suspected shooters before law enforcement could arrive.

As the most well-known player on the winning Chiefs squad, Travis Kelce—who also happens to be Taylor Swift's boyfriend—faced criticism from fans for sharing celebratory photos of the team's Super Bowl victory following the horrifying events.

In the wake of the incident, he posted his condolences on X, stating, "I am heartbroken over the tragedy that took place today."  My heart is with all who came out to celebrate with us and have been affected. KC, you mean the world to me.”
